On the occasion of the IOF Asia Pacific Bone Health Conference, held in Tokyo, Japan from December 11-13, 2025, IOF was delighted to honour the outstanding contributions of Capture the Fracture®’s  FLS mentors from across the Asia-Pacific region. The Awards were presented to Prof. Atsushi Suzuki, Prof. Hiroshi Hagino, Dr. Satoshi Ikeda, Dr. Naohide Takigawa, Dr. Hiroki Yasuoka, Dr. Masahiro Tanaka, Prof. Noriaki Yamamoto, Prof. Yong-Han Cha, Dr. Sung Hye Kong, Prof. Yoon-Sok Chung, and Dr. Derrick Chan for their dedication to advancing secondary fracture prevention and FLS development.

Another highlight was the presentation of an Award to Prof.  Manju Chandran, IOF Board Member and APCO Chairperson. She received the Outstanding Achievements in Bone Health in the Asia Pacific Region Award in recognition of her remarkable and longstanding contributions to improving bone health and patient care in the region. As well, the Best Oral Communication Award went to Dr. Y.-C. Ha (South Korea) for the abstract “Long-Term Trends of Distal Radius Fractures in Adults Aged ≥50 Years in South Korea Using a Nationwide Claims Database (2006–2022)”, one of many high-quality research presentations at the conference.

At the Congress IOF CEO Philippe Halbout extended special thanks to Professor Atsushi Suzuki, Congress Co-Chairman and IOF Board member. He especially noted that the success of the Conference and the highly successful Capture the Fracture® Workshop could not have been possible without Professor Suzuki’s dedication and extraordinary commitment.
