Since the beginning of this year, at IOF LATAM we’ve been promoting an initiative that fills us with enthusiasm: “Amo Mis Huesos” (I Love My Bones), a monthly interview series designed to bring reliable, up-to-date, and accessible information on bone health to the entire Spanish-speaking community.

This initiative is made possible thanks to our partnership with Retos Femeninos, the renowned Mexican digital platform that has been promoting content on wellness, health, personal development, and women’s empowerment for over 15 years. With more than 2.5 million monthly users, its community is the ideal space to share key messages of prevention and self-care.

What is “Amo Mis Huesos” about?

Each month, together with Dr. Patricia Clark, an internationally recognized expert in bone health and member of the IOF Board of Governance, we interview specialists from various disciplines to discuss essential topics related to skeletal care: nutrition, exercise, osteoporosis, fall prevention, men’s health, childhood, aging, and more. All interviews are delivered with a human, approachable, and evidence-based perspective. The interviews are published on the Retos Femeninas TV YouTube channel. We invite you to follow us on social media at @osteoporosis.iof (Instagram) and @IOFAmericaLatina (Facebook) to stay up to date with each new episode and access more content about bone health. We’re halfway through the year… and here’s what we’ve achieved!

At the mid-year mark, we celebrated our journey so far with four interviews, four major themes, and thousands of people reached. Here’s a look at the episodes published to date:

Coming in August! In honor of the Day of Older Persons (August 1), the next interview will focus on bone health in older adults, featuring Dr. José Octavio Duarte, a geriatrician.

We will continue to build this bridge between science, community, and prevention. Because sharing reliable information can help protect bones—and save lives.
