The Fragility Fracture Network (FFN), in conjunction with the International Osteoporosis Foundation, has developed a Call to Action to improve the care of people with fragility fractures. The Global Call to Action is available online in 12 languages.
It is currently endorsed by 81 leading organisations from around the world, covering the fields of medicine and nursing for older people, orthopaedic surgery, osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease, physiotherapy, rehabilitation medicine and rheumatology.
As a signatory of the Call to Action, IOF, together with the Capture the Fracture program, invites IOF member societies, and other organizations with an interest in advancing secondary fracture prevention, to endorse the initiative. The Call to Action calls for implementation of a systematic approach to fragility fracture care with the goal of restoring function and preventing subsequent fractures without further delay.
Should you be interested in endorsing the Global Call to Action, send an email with your organization’s details, high resolution logo and website address (if you have one) to Paul Mitchell, Chair of the FFN Communications Committee.
