ESCEO-IOF Pierre Meunier Young Scientist Medal

The ESCEO-IOF Pierre Meunier Young Scientist Medal is presented to a young investigator who has demonstrated outstanding scientific merit early in his or her career, prior to reaching a prominent academic position, and who is expected to be a future thought-leader in the musculoskeletal field.

2025: Dr. Elizabeth M. Curtis, Associate Professor in Rheumatology at the MRC Lifecourse Epidemiology Centre, University of Southampton, and honorary consultant rheumatologist at University Hospitals Southampton.

2024: Dr. Lakshmi Nagendra MD, Associate Professor at the Department of Endocrinology, JSS Medical college, JSS Academy of Higher education and Research, Mysore, India.

2023: Dr Germain Honvo, Lecturer of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin), Scientific Collaborator of the University of Liège (Belgium), Division of Public Health, Epidemiology and Health Economics.

2022: Dr. Nicholas Fuggle MBBS BSc MRCP PGCert HBE, National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Academic Clinical Lecturer at the MRC Lifecourse Epidemiology Centre at the University of Southhampton.

2021: Dr. Nicola Veronese, M.D. Assistant Professor and Senior researcher at the University of Palermo, Health Promotion, Maternal and Child Health; Internal Medicine and Specialty of Excellence "G. D'Alessandro".

2020: Dr. Daniel Pinto, College of Health Sciences, Marquette University, and the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, USA.

2019: Dr. Shaun Sabico, recognized for his notable work in the areas of vitamin D research and guideline development.

2018: Dr. Emmanuel Biver (EB) MD, PhD, of the Division of Bone Diseases Geneva University Hospitals and Faculty of Medicine.

2017: Dr. Kassim Javaid, Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist and Associate Professor in Metabolic Bone Disease at the University of Oxford.
